Is it worth it retaking SAT subject tests?

I took the SAT subject test for biology, and as I have stated in previous threads, I received a 660. Should I take it again, or should I take a different subject. I'm honestly so stressed and confused, as I have one more chance to take the SAT Subject exam (December).

Oh and keep in mind I only have ONE MORE TESTING DATE to take advantage of… someone please comment, anything at all?

Depends on where you’re applying honestly. 660 is great score so long as you’re not aiming for Ivies or schools equally as selective.

They are definitely reaches that I would still like to aim for… just in case fate goes my way.

That’s the spirit (: I’m taking a couple in November, and I’ll be lucky if I manage a 660 haha. It’s up to you though. If you think you can do significantly better, go for it!

Thanks for the encouragement… I’m a senior are you as well?

Yep! Just sent in my app for Vandy ED1 O.o So begins the nervous waiting haha
Where all are you applying?

My feeling is you need to score over 700 in any subject tests, if you havent take another where you feel you WILL score over 700, selective schools which tend to ask for subject tests require to be competitive you need to be higher and close to 740-760 to make the difference you need for your app.

My son took 3 on one Saturday, you can deff score 700 on each

That’s certainly my goal. Doing Math 2 and US History since I took APUSH last year and I’m in calculus now. I hope that gives me enough, along with whatever practice stuff I can find.

Good Luck @nerdfigher23. That’s an amazing school, I hope you get in. & I got a 720 on USH with a little studying… it’s a lot more detail focused than the AP test in my opinion. @englishman I think I’m leaning on taking Math 2, but what score should I am for? Does percentile matter?

My top choice that seems overall practical right now is NYU, because I won’t have to dorm. But like I said, I’m still trying for others that are much more selective

Are you doing ED for any of the ones you for sure want?

No I’m not, just because I’m not really sure and I’m way behind on the application process… I still have to write all these supplemental essays lol

Oooooh ya that should be real fun…Definitely the worst part of the whole process but probably pays off the best in the end I would think

Yeah I should probably start them this weekend lol… senior year has not been fun

It depends on the subject, but 650 is usually around the average score.

Seriously not at all! It’s definitely the most stress I’ve ever had to deal with and I’ve had very little time for anything remotely fun  I’ve been told it gets better though…

Yeah around December it should get fine. I’ll probably develop that senior disease everyone talks about by then. (and I 100% deserve to relax). As for the subject test, I think I’ve decided to just take Math II and see what happens.

Senioritis? Oh I’ve already got that ahaha. I’ve just been done with everything since the first week of school lol
But of course I still have to keep up with it all to get everything done. That’s the only thing motivating me right now.
