Is it worth it to get a basic certificate or advanced certificate from community college? Multiple fields

Good morning, users

So far I got hired a manager and make good amounts of money way better than minimum wage pays. I’m really loving this new job I have now, much easier to deal with.

I noticed a lot of student’s are pursuing a basic or advanced certificate. Not getting their associate degree yet. The ones that work at the store I’m hired at.

Basic certificate considers of 8 to 16 credit hours; of classes depending what branch of study you go for. Credit hours can vary for which degree you pursue in.

Advanced certificate is like a 30 CH degree depending on the degree; like for example criminal justice consists of only criminal justice classes and those are the only classes that can be taken if a person wishes to pursue that degree nothing else can be taken outside of the degree merit.

I was thinking while I work I can go part time student and pay out of pocket.

I’ve seen multiple student’s who has many certificates in different branches sort of like minor degrees I guess.

Some student’s are just going for an basic or advance, like phlebotomy and medical billing or elderly care assistance.

Any awesome opinions?

It’s worth it to get a certificate if that certificate helps you get a job you want or helps you advance in a job. It doesn’t help you to get multiple certificates just because. I’m sure you already know this though.
