Recently, I've wondered if it was worth it to get a MS in Electrical Engineering, work for a few years, and then go back for an MBA.

Is it worth it to get both an MSEE and MBA? Do many people do it or choose one or the other?

Thanks

It depends on what you want to do. The MBA puts you solidly into a management/business role, the MS gives you technical authority and expertise. Adding the MS to the MBA helps you in certain jobs like Program Management, where you will need to oversee technical personnel, and Proposal Management, where you will need to represent a technical position. In neither case is an MS necessary, but it can help. In most cases people get one or the other.
