I have two or three classes that are 15 minutes apart, so I figure a bike would be nice to have for getting from class to class. Is the campus pretty accommodating to bikers, or is it more of a hassle?

biking can be a hassle…as bike racks may or may not be near your classroom entrance…

where are you going from? most walk

Is it easy to get from Engineering Quad to Baker Labs in 15 minutes w/out a bike?

I have more then one child attending Cornell and they could not manage without a bike. There are bikes all over the campus and students will use them on the weekends as well.

I managed perfectly fine without a bike, thank you.
It would be useful, but it’s definitely not necessary.

And yes, you can get from the Engineering Quad to baker labs in 15 minutes. Everyone first semester did it, considering we had Math in Eng. and Chem in baker.

ON MWF:

Goldwin Smith Hall—> Plant Sciences------>MV Rensselaer—>Kennedy Hall
My dorm is Keeton though

<3 chendrix

bike is definitely not necessary…unless you’re a bike lover…

most get by with walking most others get by with a bus

During snow, the roads leading from North Campus are cleared, right?

i think walkways are cleared first and foremost

mvr, plant science and kennedy are right next to each other (mvr is right next to the ag quad) so you dont really need a bike for that. walking engineering to baker will take 10 mins no more than 15.

bikes can be a hassle with hills, and since it is snowy a lot of the year, water from the roads has a tendency to spray up on peoples pants. could be helpful going across campus though if you like to bike.

bikes are ok until the weather gets crappy
