I just got back my Subject Test scores from the October test date. I did great, a 780 in French and an 800 in Math II. I'm perfectly happy with these scores (as well as my SAT/ACT scores) and don't need or want to retake anything.

The thing I'm apprehensive about is whether or not these two scores show enough breadth. If I were to take another test, it would be US History. Based on the practice tests I've taken, I feel that I could score about a 750-770, if not higher, on this test by December, but I don't want to take it if it isn't necessary.

What do you think? Is it really necessary or is it just extraneous at this point? I'm not applying to anywhere that requires or even encourages sending in more than two tests, but I'm just wondering if the extra history score will add another dimension to my application.

If it'll help at all, my intended major is currently linguistics, though I'm also considering cognitive science or economics.
