<p>If you take a look at the point system that U-M used to use for admissions you will notice that the difference in points between a 24 and 36 ACT score was the same as the difference between a 3.9 and 4.0 GPA. Although they haven’t used the point system since it was ruled unconstitutional the holistic review maintains the same bias that the point system had but they just don’t award points. You would be surprised at the number of students at U-M with ACT scores below 30 but a low GPA is the kiss of death.</p>
