The 3.38 won’t be overcome by a year of skating. That includes grades less than A. And a target list mostly reaches.
The grades quoted from peers are much higher. We get no info about AP scores or SAT 2. Or other ECs. Add in lots of competition among DC area kids.
I don’t think a gap with better scores and teaching skating will tip. It’s not like going to the Olympics or an educational challenge.
