Good luck.

Thank you! Of course, I’m hoping that this will turn out for the better, but if it doesn’t I still have a chance to retake it (I’m a junior).
After hearing about the infamous October 2005 scoring scandal, as well as smaller, yet similar incidents in 2006 and 2007 (I even read a poster on this board in 2008 claiming that their Bio-M test was accidentally graded as Bio-E - and they won their case), I’m not sure if I can really trust the College Board anymore lol.

College Board tbh is ****. I’m not gonna tell you what the asterisks mean cause if you understand then you understand. ;)

^ Yep I do, haha. I hate standardized testing in general, even though I get decent to good scores lol.

I was in the same situation a couple of months ago, with Math II. I asked for a rescore, although I haven’t gotten the results yet…

Eh, the $50 part kind of bothers me, because I don’t want the College Board to have even the slightest incentive to lie to me.
Even though I know $50 means bascially nothing to them. Still. There was a part of me that wanted to say, “You don’t have to give me my money back, so PLEASE just be honest about my scores! :(”

When you get an unexpectedly low score (as I did) you want desperately to be one of the few exceptional mistakes to the scoring system, I guess. > <

Yeah… what I really care about is whether or not my score is accurate. Though my family’s recently been short on money, the $50 isn’t a huge deal for them, although my mom IS upset about this whole ordeal haha.

UPDATE: I just got an email from the College Board this morning, and it turns out that my original scores were accurate. I still think it’s rather odd how I would have missed so many on French, but perhaps I really overlooked something and misbubbled.
Eh, I’ll just retake it in May or June; it’s not a huge deal. At least I spared myself from wondering what really happened.

xevonx, please update us on what happened with yours sometime :)

It’s a conspiracy. They just want the money. They always say it’s accurate.

I’m finding that theory rather irresistible. :D

Ughh I know how you feel - I got 760 and I’m a native french speaker who’s lived in Montreal all my life.
It hurts even more, especially since tous mes amis ont eu 800, sauf moi. It’s like, if you get less than 800 in french and you’re Canadien Francais t’as un probleme.

Lol, just found this old thread. I’m posting to say that I took the October 2010 French test and scored an 800.
And I found out the reason behind my lower score… I’d bubbled several E’s even though the French test only has options A through D. facepalm I noticed something was different about my scantron this time, and when I finally realized what it was, I was pretty mad at myself for being so silly lol.
