Is it worth to memorize Barron's "The SAT I Hot Prospects Word List"?
It says :"Though these words don't appear as often as the high-frequency words do, when they do appear, the odds are that they're key words in questions. "
But those words are kind of really hard to memorize, so anyone think this wordlist is useful?

I would say yes, it is worth to memorize the Barron's word.

It is really hard to memorize the words , but after you've done memorize, you will realize how good is this.

Spend your time volunteering in a hospital or something useful. Or just spend more time reading difficult material. Vocab lists make little difference on the New SAT. And as you point out, it's hard to memorize words from a list.

JUST READ!! It's way easier to read interesting, provoking books than to memorize a list of vocabulary.

If you must memorize, use the yellow flashcards barron's provides at the back of the book. Those are the only words I memorized, and they're quite easy. I'd say almost half of them showed up on the SAT I took (in May).

I did no preparation except a practice test the week before and lots and lots and lots of reading. I did very well on both the CR and W parts.
