My daughter got SAT 2210 this Jan test.
Reading:800, math:720, writing:690(essay 9/12)
especially writing score is too low pls low essay score,
as she might major in liberal arts later.
She is aiming for Ivies, especially Princeton, Yale and Harvard.
it looks a little bit low than average score.
Just based on SAT score, is it worth to try it again this Oct test ?

I would probably retake it just so that everything is over 700. The writing part seems to me (a parent) the easiest section to improve. She can work on the "formula" for the essay and do practice essays. My D improved her writing section from a 660 to a 780 just by paying more attention to the test-taking strategies for that section.

The only problem might be if she is planning to take subject tests in October. Has she finished all of those?

My D also got a 800 on the reading section and is planning to take the literature subject test in October. Did your D take the lit test and if so how did she do and did she need to study much for it.

nope, ivy leagues is pretty mcuh 2200+ i think shes in good shape
you may want to retake just cuz of that one 690 score...things usually look good if there are all "7"s...:)

^ lol let alone a 2200+, I would kill for a 2100 (got a 1820 on my last SAT hoping to get 2050~ next retake)...so yeah I wouldn't retake cuz a 2210 is REALLY good although it may not seem so on this forum since every other person gets 2200+ lol

No i would not retake it because a 2200 + is all you need
it doesnt matter if that 2200 was 800 800 600 (well, thats a bit extreme) but you're daughter is in good shape
instead of focusing on the SAT, has she taken ACT or SATII?
