Is it worth to try?

So here is the thing.
WUSTL has already admitted like five students from my school as ED applicants. I'm wondering is it still worth to apply WUSTL? Will it be a crap shot?

Only one thing that is certain. If you don’t apply your chances are zero. Anything else said is irrelevant.

surprised you didn’t tell us your stats. but yeah if you dont apply then you really won’t have a chance

Plus WashU doesn’t require another essay, so why not

My apology.
My stats:
SAT:cr:800, math:800,writing:760
Subject test: bio M 800, chem 800, math(level 2) 800
GPA:4.0
I’m an international student and there is no AP course offered in my school.

if your school had as many as 5 ED acceptances into a top 15 school in WashU that might mean that your school is very rigorous and sends a large number of people yearly to great schools. Sure having 5 people already at WashU might be room for concern but if your resume/application/standing is that comparable to them or close (like in terms of academics, EC’s, test scores, etc) than you should be fine. Schools like WashU first and foremost compare you to the people at your school because that is the fairest to do it. Then again I agree with everyone else in that if money is not as big of a concern/hassle and you like WashU alot then you might as well give it a shot because they don’t have a writing supplement requirement.

Wow. Those are really good stats for an international student! I’m planning on applying (Central European) but with an 1890 I don’t really compare. So much for the “I’ll add to the diversity of the school” plan…
