Because i couldn't get my parents to agree with me on the benefits of me attending a boarding/private school next year, i haven't taken the SSATS yet. I understand that i have missed the registration for the jan 8th test so obviously i can't have a full application for a school by jan 15th. Currently I'm a freshman at a public high school in NY but i was really hoping to attend somewhere else next year. Will any day schools in the Westchester area or any boarding schools in the NE accept a late application? Are my boarding/private school hopes crushed?

Okay, first, late applications for the January 8 SSAT aren’t due until today - and today’s not over yet. If you don’t do an online application today, you can still register to take the test on a standby, space available basis. It’s more expensive, and somewhat risky 'cause you can’t be sure of getting a seat, but it’s still an option. You can also register to take the test with a private educational consultant - it’ll will definitely cost more, but it can be done.

Second, regarding application due dates, although many schools have a January 15 due date, not all of them do. The Phillips Andover application, for example, is not due until the end of January, I believe. So go to [Boarding School Review - College-Prep & Jr. Boarding Schools](http://www.boardingschoolreview.com) and look for schools with a later application deadline. You’ll find plenty.

Don’t know if your parents are on board with this yet . . . you’re going to need their help. See if you can reach an agreement, then figure out what to do about the January SSAT, and take it from there. You’re really not alone . . . there are plenty of kids just getting started on their applications.

Thanks for the advice. so stressful =p

no most hades schools have interviews all the way till the end of january. and most will still accept FA info even up till the end of january and it wont be considered late.
