Hey guys, I'm in a bit of a conundrum. A couple of the schools I'm applying to (MIT, Columbia SEAS, Princeton engineering) require a science subject test. I actually just took physics this past saturday, but I'm pretty sure I bombed it so I'll most likely be cancelling my score and retaking it in January. Will it be too late? I know that officially, all of these colleges take January scores. But I can't help but think that taking it in January will put me at a disadvantage, since these scores don't come in until mid-February, and surely by that time they'll already have started reviewing apps and making decisions.

Perhaps you could send some current unofficial scores by email/counselor. I know MIT accepts January scores (I’m taking January SATs myself), and that once your scores are in the range (720+), they aren’t as important in decisions. Hope that helps.

trouble is, i don’t have any science subject test scores yet. i really hope there’s no disadvantage to taking it in january
