Is Johns Hopkins a Fit?

I'm interested in biological/biomedical research, however I do not wish to become a doctor. My life-long goal is to cure or halt the entire process of mammalian aging. Would JHU be a decent fit for me, or are there better alternatives (please name)?

Well, you’re talking about just academic fit. Don’t you care about other stuff, like the social scene, food, location, people, and sports?

Sounds like you’re interested in science research - absolutely academically it’s a good fit for you.

Hopkins is the mecca of all things biomedical/biological, not just doctors. Hopkins has one of the best if, arguably, not the best medical schools in the world, yes, but it is definitely just a testament to their strength in research in the biological fields. Hope that helps :)

Ripe, in the end, all that matters are the results. The locations, sports, people, my own happiness - none of those are relevant to my ultimate goal. The only other factor that may be of importance to me is the quality of the surrounding Japanese restaurants.
