Is Kaplan's SAT Book good enough?

I got in some classes and this book http://www.amazon.com/Kaplan-Test-Prep-Admissions-Course/dp/B004JBQKIC/ref=pd_sim_sbs_b_3 came included with the price. I'm wondering if it's good enough, or if you really think I should also buy the Blue Book.
I also have Kaplan's Purple Book for Practice and flashcards.
I got an 1600 on my first practice SAT and am hoping for a 1900+ on the real one.

Also, do you think it's worth it to buy Barron's Writing Workbook if I'm struggling with my essays? (I got a 2 on the practice SAT lol...)

The blue book is the best for practice. I’ve heard that the Kaplan’s SAT book is utter trash.

Barron’s has a decent prep book for CR , I guess their writing workbook is good as well.
