Is Keurig legal in dorm rooms?

I was planning to get D a mini-Keurig for her dorm room so she could have single serve coffee, tea and hot chocolate anytime (and the yummy kind). She said she heard that coffee makers are not allowed in the dorm rooms, but I have to question whether mini-Keurig single serve is actually banned.

The links to residence hall information appear to be broken, but I did find a move-in guide (by searching for “toaster oven”) with this info:

From the research we did last year, we learned that anything with an “external” heating element is banned–like a traditional coffee maker, toaster oven, etc. My DD brought an electric tea kettle with a concealed heating element, but found that she hardly ever used it since there was a dedicated hot water spigot in the kitchen on her floor that was more convenient. I don’t know what kind of heating element the Keurig has, but if it’s concealed, it shouldn’t be a problem. But remember that space is always an issue, and it would require someplace to sit!

Here’s a link to some official info on what to bring and what NOT to bring:

Thanks - I have a full sized Keurig and am pretty sure the heating element is hidden - the bottom flat surface that would heat the coffee pot in a regular coffee make is just a spill reservoir with grated flat surface - no heat.
