<p>I am trying for both schools, and I finally got the information books from each school. From a book view, Lawrenceville seems more appealing, and I only can visit Larewnceville, so those who are very knowledgeable on boarding schools, can I have negatives and positives of each school?</p>
<p>It depends on what you’re looking for, like humanities or math or science oriented, and what EC’s you do. Every school can’t have it all.</p>

<p>Well, I am very mathematically gifted, so as long as there is a good math program and great community service opportunities, I will be fine :D</p>

Which school is going to be a better fit for you given your strengths, weaknesses, sensibilities, and proclivities?</p>
<p>If you’re looking at it purely statistically, Andover’s the better of the two. Still, Lawrenceville’s a great school (I’m at SPS now, but it came down to those two), and a lot of fun to be at (I have a lot of friends at both).</p>
<p>Thanks guys! My mom told me though that I possibly may be able to go to visit Andover! Both schools are about equal in benefits and negatives on my list, so others peoples opinions really help!</p>
<p>KG - from a distance, it looks like you’re placing way too much emphasis on what others say in forming your own opinion about the best school for you. This is a HUGE mistake. Any of the top 20 schools will give you an outstanding education and send you to an equally outstanding college. A percentage of pie-eyed kids go to the Andovers and Exeters because they THINK “#1” - and then these same kids either drop out after the first year or find themselves remarkably miserable. Be careful!!! If you can’t be challenged AND happy, it’s not worth it. One final thought - don’t brag about how gifted you are, ever. When you get to any of these schools, you’ll be “just another fish.” The best boarding schools in the U.S. are filled with kids who were the “best” in their hometown and/or former school. Stay modest.</p>

<p>Don’t get caught up in comparing the schools by numbers. Keep in mind that the school will be your HOME, and that you will be living there 24/7.</p>
<p>Thanks for the advice, and sorry for the bragging, I usually don’t sound that rude( I was typing on my ipod, and was most likely distracted)! I just like math, and I wanted to make sure the schools had a really good math cirriculum 
lol. But yea, my opinions are just back and forth. I origonally had my heart set on Lawrenceville, but after considering other schools and seeing Andover, I fell in love with the both of them. I know quite a few people in Lawrenceville because I live semi-near the school (about 40 minutes to an hour). See, with Lawrenceville I have a lot of information from people who know me and what is best for me, when I have no insight on Andvoer. So, I have been asking for everyone elses opinions because with Andover I am nearly blind. I live atleast 6 hours away, and I only found information on the school about a month ago. I love certain aspects of each school, so it is a learning process!</p>
<p>If you know you “lover certain aspects of each school”, that should be enough for now. They are both tip top boarding schools (so there’s a reason why you find them appealing), but they are highly selective too, so apply to both and wait till you have admissions from both schools at hand before you spend time looking into the “details” and make your choice.</p>
