Is "legacy" only if your parents attended as undergraduates?

I ask this because my mother attended graduate school at Dartmouth and my father was research faculty. I was wondering if that was worth anything in the "legacy" department. Or is there no point in mentioning this?

This has only been asked about a million times here.

Ask Darthmouth itself.

BTW, you don’t say whether your mother received a graduate degree from Dartmouth or only “attended graduate school.”

You aren’t a legacy, but there IS a point in mentioning it.

Legacy can sometimes help, but it’s hard to say how much.
Good luck!
