is lit an aptitude test?

i mean can you really study for the lit test? don't you just need to have an understanding of literature to do well on it? are there a lot of terms to remember? what's the best way to prepare for this test?

You can prepare for the test as far as learning how to gauge your time and getting to know a few of the more obscure terms, but it’s more about how well you understand what you read, and whether you see the same things as the test-makers. I would take a few practice tests, but other than that I don’t think there’s much you can do.

You should understand poetry terms and be able to understand Victorian English.
