I'm a strong sciences guy. I plan on majoring in biochemistry and probably going onto medical school. But, after visiting Penn, I was really intrigued by the LSM pitch. I've never even given a second thought to a future in business, and it has become a running joke in my family that I would be bad at "managing my own piggy bank." However, it seems that a major point of LSM is going into the sciences with both a strong sciences background and a business-savvy mindset that will only serve to help further a medical career. I do enjoy studying economics (basically the philosophic and "theory" side of economics, not really any sort of application of economics), but I'm not sure. The thing is, I have like no background in business (no economics related extracurricular, I've never even been treasurer of anything). So, would it be wise to go for LSM?

Well, I was treasurer of my FBLA and won some state econ awards. However, you sound ALOT like me. So, I would definately apply as I really think doctors need to have a working knowledge of econ.
