This university I’m attending is a private liberal arts university but it’s accredited, would that make a difference to potential employers?
Accredited as a whole? Or AACSB accredited?
Thanks for the reply, it’s says in the site “The undergraduate programs in the Tillman School of Business are accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP)”
It’s also accredited as a whole, it’s a legit university.
Interesting. I’ve never heard of ACBSP before but it sounds like it’s a secondary, newer, smaller accreditation service.
Accreditation is always better than no accreditation.
So is it worthless? Would it make a difference to potential employers?
I’m only one person, but in my subjective opinion it’s a relatively unknown school with minor accreditation. A degree is always better than no degree. But depending on the year you are at in your schooling, and if you are taking on any student loans right now, you might consider transferring.
You could still become a CPA with the proper work experience AFAIK, but that depends on your goals.
@happy1 might have some more input.
I’ve never heard of that accreditation and I don’t know the college so I can’t comment on the impact it may have on potential employers. Perhaps contact career services at the college and see what companies hire from the school. The b-school accreditation I’m familiar with is AACSB.
Apologies for tagging you then!
@philbegas No problem…
