Is Maryland a Safety?

I had been considering Maryland a safety for me, but am worried because I did not apply by Dec 1st. I am a white male OOS from VA and actually would go there in a heartbeat before my other safeties (Tech/Madison).
Heres my key stats
3.7uw/3.8 w (yeah barely any weights) in toughest classes-Full IB, 14 ib/ap classes total
2110 sat (710 m 700v 700w)
32 act (like a 1420)
main ec-4 years baseball in/out of school (recruited to play dIII)
president of robinson republicans
100's of volunteer hours for ib
good essays/recs

Thanks for your time

yeah, i would consider it a safety/match. i'm just wondering, if you're taking so many ap and ib classes, why isn't your weighted gpa higher? does your school system calculate it oddly?

what is IB exactly?

Yeah, my school calculates GPA in a pretty odd way where only certain IB/AP classes get weights (.5), and many of them are only able to be taken during senior year. To give you a reference point, two kids in my class have never gotten a B in all IB classes and have only a 4.06 GPA, making it the highest possible (The already got in to MIT and Duke, respectively).
For those of you who dont know, IB is basically the same as AP except with much, much more focus on writing, and also involves some out of the classroom things in order to get the IB Diploma (write a 4000 word essay, get 150 CAS hours). I have taken a few AP's, and they were easier than IB in my opinon.
