<p>As seen in one of the halo 3 ads "graveyard", its been 50 years since Master Chief was last seen (atleast i think it was...lol...) and he has been marked as MIA.</p>
<p>I know this game is old, but this is a good topic for discussion, haha</p>

<p>At the end of halo 3, he was played in a cryogenic chamber (i think that is the correct term-age)...but remember that he is also human</p>

<p>No, the Master Chief is not dead. If you beat Halo 3 in legendary mode, the remnant of the ship the Master Chief is cyro’ed in is drifting to some unknown planet. I do not know of any video that shows “50 years” after the aftermath of the Human-Covenant war, but if Master Chief was in cyrostasis during that period, the passing of time would have no effect on him. </p>
<p>However, it was customary for the UNSC to mark all their Spartan troops as MIA, even if they were confirmed dead as not to reduce morale within the military. So the marking of his “grave” should have no bearing on the status of the Master Chief. </p>
<p>Plus, the Halo series is Bungie’s biggest Cash Cow. The Master Chief will never die, as long as there is a dollar to be made. Do you know how many millions of dollars of merchandise has his image on it?</p>

<p>Reach is a prequel to the original Halo game. It’s supposed to come out in the Fall of this year.</p>
