I was wondering if taking Math 1 would hurt my admissions chances. I have not taken PreCalculus so I am not ready for the Math 2. Does this depend if your applying to Engineering or Arts/Sciences?

exactly what grade are you in that you haven't taken precalculus? you don't have to take math 1 or 2 until right before you apply, so you should wait a bit. i took math2 as a 10th grader. i did okay i guess but if i had waited i would have done better i think. if you want to be able to do well in the eschool you had better be at the level to take math2.... i mean theyre all required to take calculus, etc.

Thanks that info helped.

I'm in the 11th grade and am taking PreCalculus next year. The last test date before applications (December) would give me about a month less than a semester of a full year course.
