I'm trying to do my phase 2 classes, but it won't let me even get on the waitlist. The discussions are full, but the lecture isn't. What's going on?!

Also, I'm 3rd on the waitlist for French 1. Does that mean I have a decent chance of getting in?

The key is to get into a discussion. There are some scheduled but not yet open. Keep your eye on the schedule and pounce when they open.

BTW - Discussion 211 is currently open with 19 available seats and if you can select that you also will be registered into the lecture (section 002).

I can only take Section 1 though, due to conflicts. There’s a discussion available there, but it’s not open yet. So when will it open? During adjustment period?

no clear time for it to open.

Lurk on schedule.berkeley.edu, clicking the link to see the current restrictions and enrollment, until you see it open. Dive on as soon as you can log into Telebears. Takes persistence.

You could contact the math department and see if someone can suggest when they might open up that section.

Also, any options with the conflicting class to change that one around, freeing the time for the open discussion/lecture in Math 53?
