Is Med School guaranteed?

I'm only a junior in high school, but I have been considering working in the medical field. Human anatomy seems to interest me and my father, a doctor himself, encourages me to get into the medical field because of the stable jobs. Is it too early for me to rely on the fact that I'll get into medical school to drop other opportunities?
I'm currently planning on attending a state university to save money because I know anyone can get into medical school with good grades, research, shadowing experience, and good MCAT scores so a prestigious university is not necessary. I'll gladly attend any med school in a large city.

As for academics, I am by no means super intelligent but I do tend to work hard to achieve my goals. I know high school is completely different from college or med school, but I'm willing to work hard through everything.

Should I aim for a cheaper state university to save up money for medical school or should I still attend a prestigious university in case I don't get accepted to medical school? Should I transfer from a state school to a prestigious one after 2 years? Does the type of university I go to matter for when I apply to medical school? (Public vs. private, liberal arts vs. research, etc)

I'm currently aiming for Temple University in Philadelphia, PA.

Thank you so much for the link, entomom!

Yes, it is “too early for you to rely on the fact that I’ll get into medical school”
No, “Med School is not guaranteed” to anybody, not tot the very top. If your list matches somewhat your stats after graduating from college, you have a chance. Everybody is in the same boat - they have a chance.
The ones with the higher chances are those who are in combined bs/md programs. They still have to maintain certain stats, not guaranteed to them either.
