Is Miami a match?

<p>I'm visiting Miami this October and want to know what you guys think of my chances.</p>

<p>GPA: 3.8w but good grade trend (3.5 frosh... 3.6 soph... 4.3 junior)
Class Rank: 20/210</p>

<p>SAT I- M: 670
CR: 790
W: 750</p>

<p>SAT II- US: 790
Bio: 750</p>

<p>AP- US His: 5 Bio: 5</p>

<p>ECs:
Basketball: 9-12
Cross Country:10-12 captain
National Honor Society: 12</p>

<p>Your grades are similar to mine when I applied and your class rank is really good too, I wouldn't worry but I would definitely consider applying early not necessarily early decision but at least early action. I know some people from my school who applied RD and didn't get in but had better grades than me. I did apply ED which probably helped but still, they tell you at the admissions meetings to apply early and with EA there is no binding agreement, you just find out earlier.</p>

<p>i dunno, they have the guidelines listed for the scholarships although they are just to give you an 'idea'. They dont go by that in stone, btu Id say you have a good job at 3/4 but you really should join some clubs</p>
