Is modeling an extracurricular?

Does modeling look good to colleges?

I’m going to go ahead and guess no.

I’m assuming that you mean paid modeling – Jobs are generally considered to be ECs and look good.

Can you explain how this has made you the person you are, what you have learned in modelling, some of your successes (when you’ve gotten a job) or disappointments (when you haven’t) and how you’ve handled each. I think this could potentially make an excellent essay topic, which could help you stand out.

However, I don’t think it will get you in to a school if your grades, scores, etc. are not otherwise competitive.

Treat it like a job. Unless you have been on a national cover, it will not really be a hook, but if you spent the summer in france living with women from around the globe thrust into a new culture, it could be about how it showed you a new world.
