Is modeling something I should put on my app?

So I am applying in the fall to schools, those schools including all the IVY( except Princeton)
JHU,UC Berkeley, Duke, Standford, UC San Diego and NYU ( I am a CA resident)
HS GPA: ~2.1
SAT scores:1650
College GPA, first semester (12 units 2.4) since then I have accumulated 22 more units of straight A's (In one semester + 3 week intersession) and have about 24 more to go before applying ( will get A's) this will put me at about a 3.7 GPA out of a CC. I will complete 19 units in the spring semester after applying.
Major: Public Health

So my EC's are the same old, Hospital Volunteering, Big brother Program, Habitat for Humanity.

So clearly my application is not the most competitive, so I am wondering if adding on that I have done some rather decent work as a model would help or hurt my cause.
Jobs I have done: ( or the ones people will recognize)
Nike
Macy's
Cosmopolitan Magazine
Essence Magazine
Hollister Co.
Abercrombie and Fitch
Gilly Hicks ( part of AnF)
Ralph Lauren ( rugby)
4 Page spread in GQ earlier this year
Walked during fashion week in multiple shows.
Walked in the biggest runway event in CA that happens to be an HIV/AIDS fund raiser.

Would this be stuff that would help me on my app or just make me look like a huge tool
*Side note: I am not lying about anything here, I have no reason to lie as I am actually looking for advice ( and I would have made my HS GPA higher lol)

Oh and im half african american if that matters.
Thanks all any info would help!

Definitely bring it out. If you spin it right, it is one of the best essay topics.

Maybe if you can spin it right in essay topics, I doubt the fact that you were a model by itself is going to impress anyone.

I wouldn’t hold out much hope for the Ivy’s (except for Cornell College of Human Ecology) or Duke. Maybe Stanford if you can write incredible essays and have stellar recs considering they seem to like California CC students with a unique story, I’d still say it’s a long shot though.

Edit: I don’t think race matters as much in transfer decisions. I have several friends who are AA and they all got dinged at every “elite” school they applied to with better stats than you seem to have. Not exactly unassailable evidence but if you think about it the schools already have the diversity they need through Freshmen admissions, it’s unlikely your app will hinge on race.

“Walked in the biggest runway event in CA that happens to be an HIV/AIDS fund raiser.”

this could be spun into something interesting and unique. if modeling has had a dramatic impact on your life, the way you live your life, how you think, etc. bring it up, make it YOUR story but don’t just put down modeling as an EC for the sake of an EC

Definitely. Your unique experiences will set you apart from other applicants and have surely given you a different perspective.
