If i have a 1370/2080 SAT?

I wouldn't call Michigan State University at all a safety school. I have a 3.7 overall GPA ( currently junior year ) and Michigan State University is my top school on the list. Also 3.2 is below their average GPA, but I wouldln't rule your chances out.

Definitely not safety. OOS, maybe a match with that GPA. That SAT is the only thing saving you.

I know quite a few students who got into MSU with close to 3.2 unweighted GPAs and a lot lower test scores. And they do take AP/honors classes into consideration. But I'd consider it more of a match than a safety, as the average GPA at MSU is now 3.5 and the selectivity here has gone up a bit recently. I'd definitely advise to have another back-up school just in case

thanks alot guys and i do have an in-state backup, as both a safety and a financial "safety" to fall back on in case of hard times
