Is my app strong enough to make me a finalist without ACT scores?

I really like the quest bridge program but I don't want to be committed to any binding schools. How can I use this program to get into the schools I'm interested without binding? Should I do college match or regular decision? Will all schools see my quest bridge essay and application? Can I be a finalist if my scores don't come in time ? Are the SAT subject tests too late?

Bump :))))

Peachfuzz, your academics and extracurricular are solid. Also, your hook is outstanding!

However (I might be mistaken), I thought that having taken either a previous SAT or ACT before the deadline was a requirement for the application, and students electing to forward their results from the September ACT have previously taken either one of those tests and are seeking to forward more recent results.

I got this e-mail from a QB newsletter on March 17:
"If you plan to apply for the QuestBridge National College Match program in September, you will need to take the SAT Reasoning Test or the ACT. You must also take two to three SAT Subject Tests to meet the standardized test requirements of many QuestBridge partner colleges.

Below are the three remaining test dates before the National College Match application deadline next fall:

SAT
May 7, 2011 (register by April 8)
June 4, 2011 (register by May 6)

ACT
June 11, 2011 (register by May 6)

When registering for the SAT, keep in mind that you may take either the SAT Reasoning Test or up to three SAT Subject Tests on a given test date. For example, if you take the SAT Reasoning on May 7, you will also need to register for the June 4 date to take any required SAT Subject Tests. If English is not your first language, please be aware that a high score on a subject test of your first language will usually have less impact than a high score in another core academic subject.

When registering for the ACT, please note that many top colleges require the ACT with Writing.

Please visit the College Board or ACT websites for more information on registration, testing, and fee waivers for low-income students."

Can anyone else in this thread confirm or deny this?

Also, since people are forwarding their ACT results to QuestBridge though, you might try e-mailing them to see if you could do the same thing but with your first test?
