Is my application in danger?

My cousin criticized me for being stupid when he saw my application. He's a niceguy jackass in general so his comments are really ****ing me off. In the november app there's a section that said:

Language spoken first:

I wrote down English and Chinese since I was raised in a bilingual household. My cousin told me that was extremely dumb and how stupid I was for doing that since language isn't pluralized. So is my application going to lose points for putting down two languages instead of one?

well i speak 32 languages and i put them all down and got into dartmouth my freshman year but didn't go cuz the IDAHO got it goin' ON. i just learned 2 languages in the last hour, that is.

To be honest I did the same thing, because both languages I speak I use everyday! I dont think we will lose points for it, im sure they will figure out what we ment to say.

I hope so. "language spoken first." I guess technically i learned chinese first, but that wouldn't make any sense for me to put because i speak english more fluently and with better vernacular than chinese. there wasn't anywhere else in the UC application asking abotu languages.

Man... what about people who can speak 3 languages fluently? But i actually put one down for "language spoken first" since it asks for only single one.

So kevin, do you think I'll lose points for that?

ignore ur cousin

so I won't lose points...?

Don't worry about it, I really don't think you will lose points for that at all.

WillDO, don't get panic! Do you think we are absolutely prohibited to make a tiny mistake on the application?

Are you sure? I just don't want to be rejected from Cal or UCLA and then have my cousin laugh at my face telling me "I told you so" because he's that type of person.

I mean, you learned to speak those two FIRST. So it's not like you can say "I think I learned to speak my first word in Chinese then my second word in English..."
Don't bother your cousin. I mean if he is right(which I don't think so at all!), the admission committee is not going to penalize you for something that petty.

and finally, yes your cousin is right, and you will be rejected by UCLA and Cal for that matter. Now rest assured.

Dancing Jesus, if I make changes to my app will it make it in time or differnce?

if cal or ucla rejects you, it sure as hell won't be on basis of that. just like how i mispelled some words in my personal statement and i dont think they gave a care

cal girl, just curious, what was your stats? Like gpa and all. You got in UCLA?
