<p>When I handed a hard copy of my Common App essay to my English teacher, he told me it was too long and that essay readers would be reluctant to go over it. I'm not sure whether or not I should shorten it because my essay consists of a vivid anecdote during a stressful time in my life, followed by an analysis and what I've done following that period. </p>
<p>My essay is 2.5 pages single spaced.</p>
