Is my course load too heavy?

Hi, I'm going to be a junior next year. I was wondering if the course load I selected will be too difficult to maintain good grades in.

I'm taking:
- English III H
- AP Calculus AB
- AP Biology
- AP US History
- Physics H
- German IV

The way our schedule works, I will have at least one free every day (because I decided not to take an additional elective) and I will get an additional 3 frees every 8 days for days when I don't have a double lab (lab sciences each take 2 additional blocks per 8 day rotation).

I'm also going to be in a regional orchestra, a string quartet, and possibly the pit orchestra for our school's musical.

Last year I took all honors core classes, plus german and two electives, however, I was also on a competitive ski team in the winter, the track team in the spring, and I was in another chamber orchestra in addition to the regional orchestra, the quartet, and the pit orchestra.

I think I should be able to handle this, but does it seem like I'm being unrealistic? My work ethic has also improved tremendously since freshmen year; and I went from a 4.1 freshman year to a 4.3 sophomore year (unweighted on a 4.5 scale).

Please tell me what you think. Thank you!

Definitely doable. 3 APs will be a nice challenge but still not too much. You’ll have time to really immerse yourself in all your subjects, which is a good idea.

That’s what I was hoping to hear. Thank you!
