<p>ok so im really stumpted for what to write for my common app essay.</p>

<p>i was thinking for the topic of your choice i can write about how my economic situation at home hasnt been the best and i was kind of bitter about it for a while. but after voulenteering (specifically at a clothing drive for the homeless/poor) ive realized people have it much worse then me and ive realized even though my economic life isnt perfect i still have the tools to make a difference in my community.</p>

<p>is that any good
be honest because i am so lost haha and any tips would help</p>

<p>by the way this wont be going to any ivies, but i will be sending my apps to competitive schools i.e, BC BU NYU Villanova Fordham etc</p>

<p>Yeah, repost this. I think it’s a good topic, as long as you emphasize your experiences and not self-pity. If there is any specific instance of where you have touched someone’s life personally, or met with a homeless/poor person? That would make the essay more valuable. No matter what, you must be specific and vivid in describing your experiences. At least that’s been the tip I’ve been getting, so I’m no expert.</p>
