Is my GPA a decent start? Few questions.

Please answer all of these questions if you can.

I finished freshmen year of High School, I have a 3.1 GPA.

Is it a good start or a bad start?

My second question is- say if I get all A's in Junior year, what would my GPA be then? How far do you think I can raise my GPA up to?

I am honestly going to be mad if my GPA won't be able to increase that much.

I also heard that you need at least a 3.5 GPA to manage getting into a university easier/getting a job easier. Do you think I am capable of raising my GPA .4 points so it can be at least a 3.5 within Sophomore year?

Your gpa as it is is not a bad start. That’s about a B average on a typical grading scale, so you definitely have room for improvement and time for improvement as well.

I don’t think anyone on here can answer what your GPA will be in hypothetical situations as every school grades differently – some schools weight a certain amount for APs or IBs whereas other schools may not Talk to your school’s guidance counselor about that.
