Due to some mistakes I made in Sophomore Year, my GPA is set to be a 3.6 or a 3.66. Is there anyway I could boost that up before College apps, or is it stuck there? I’m a junior so I’m fairly certain that this is pretty much it for me, but if there was a way to get it up before hand I really wanted to know
@PFAnimals They will look at your GPA end of Junior Year, so just finish out the year strong! 3.6 is very good by the way! It’s an A.
@Fishnlines29 Thanks, man. I’m just worried because I feel like I’m gonna miss out on some selective schools/scholarships based on some mistakes I’ve made
@PFAnimals No, probably not, but any selective schools will be super competitive for everyone. Just make sure you find safeties and matches that you would absolutely be thrilled to attend - in addition to the reaches already in your head
@Fishnlines29 Thanks, man. You’re really uplifting, I appreciate that a lot.
There are 3000+ colleges in the US…mostly likely you would not be going to the top 30 even if you were perfect. There are many many many fine colleges out there and you will find a good fit for you. Keep doing well because an upward trend in GPA will be beneficial even if the overall GPA is not what you would like.
Colleges like to see you doing better in harder courses…that means you are ready for college!
