Alright, so I'm a pretty good student, and I was wondering my what my chances were of getting in anywhere really prestigious, such as Brown, Cornell, Columbia, Stanford, UPenn, etc.
I'm a white female and high school junior. I got a 31 on my ACT (I just retook it and am awaiting my scores. However, I think I did very well and am estimating getting around a 33, so just assume that score in my chances) I'm a founding member of a philanthropy youth group that gives money to children's charities, and I helped raise over $8500 for it this year. I am also a founding member of a youth leadership group. I am a secretary of Spanish club and a treasurer of Book Club (Of which I am also a founder). I am in Student Council and Key Club. I will be studying journalism this summer at the University of Mississippi's summer program for high school students. I have been on the Tennis team since sophomore year and was 1st place regional champion of my division. I scored a 207 on the PSAT and am a national qualifier. I have won my school's "loyalty" award every year. My freshman year, my basketball team was 2nd place conference champions. I have taken ( or will take my senior year) every single AP and Honors class my school offers. By the time I finish High School, I will have taken 6 years of science. My weighted GPA is 4.28, but my unweighted is only 3.81, and I don't expect it to raise much. My class rank is 12 of 300, and my high school is one of the best public high schools in IL ( I expect my rank to go up to about 10 of 300.) So is my GPA really going to hurt my chances of getting in anywhere that I mentioned? or do I still have a shot?

undergrad prestige really does not matter…
