Hi,

Well, my GPA is ruined because of French class, sadly. I have a 73 average for French in 3 years of taking it. My History average is 96, Math is 80, Science is 86, English is 86, Business class is 85, Music is 95.

I am in the last semester of my Junior year and my current average is 85 point something. Here is the catch, my school the highest teachers can give you is an E, which is a 95. A G is a 85, and an S is a 75.

Basically, I only got a 96 in history because I'm in AP US and I've always had 95 in history class, except for the first 2 semesters of AP, I started off with an S, then G, and last semester got an E! Anyways, my point is, would this be low for colleges?

according to what I know, my GPA is like 3.0 because for my school, you minus 55 from your current average.

I really want to go to NYU, is there anything I can do about all this? Please help.

May I ask why you want to go to NYU so bad?

This is the weirdest GPA system I have ever heard of, but I think you still have a viable chance if you’re only struggling in the one class.

So technically you have a 90?

NYU may re-calculate your GPA.

There are a lot of missing factors here. It will depend upon the NYU school you would be applying in to, your college major accordingly, SAT/ACT scores, letter of rec., your ECs, and the ability to raise your GPA. Internships bode well.

You are more than your numbers. Impress them with your EC’s, rec letters, and your essays.

I hope you know that NYU will brutally rape your wallet.

I want to go to NYU because I live in Brooklyn and would be going to Manhatten. Also, it’s a well known school with connections. I want to go the main branch in Manhatten.

I’m not sure if they will recalculate, maybe? But I believe my school sends a letter along explaining the grading system.

Next year I’m going to be taking AP Statistics, AP Economics, AP English (I got in after an essay test), and AP Physics.

I’m currently in the senior math team (although I am a junior). I go to an after school basketball program. This summer, I will volunteer at a library.

Advice? Comments?

Thanks.

I’m not sure if it’s allowed but bump?
