is my head in the clouds?

<p>ever since i saw the movie "mona lisa smile" ive been falling in love with wellesley. i want to know whether i have hope/should i give up on this dream???</p>

<p>im a jr, class of 06
in the top 15% as of now
i will have a weighted 4.0 by graduation, idk how to figure my uw (can someone tell me how?)
my transcript shows incredible improvement from freshman year (ive lobbied to get into harder classes, my counselor knows, and mycourseload has become harder and harder, senior year will be my hardest)
ive received mostly A's and a very few B's - by improvement i mean that my courseload has become heavier
i'll get stellar recs - i just spoke to a teacher yesterday
i have great ecs - volunteer at hospital, lots of french things (french honor society, french club officer, french art reproduction club [founder]), newspaper staff and hopefully journalism honor society as well as national honor society next year</p>

<p>im taking the new sat in march as well as sat II (math IIC and korean)</p>

<p>my projected act scores are 26-30 and my projected sat scores are the equivalent of a 1160-1360 on the old test - this is right where i want to be becuase now i can study a lot and im sure i can succeed on the sat</p>

<p>You should visit the campus and talk with people. Choosing a college based on a movie is probably not one of the time proven methods. You are a junior in high school if your head is not in the clouds sometimes then this world has become very depressing. Good luck on your SATs you will want to be at the top of your stated range. Speak to your school counselor...they may know the record of admits from your school into Wellesley.</p>

<p>i got interested in wellesley from the same movie. turns out, it's a much more amaxing school than i previously believed. we'll see if i get in... time will tell :/</p>
