Ouch. I’d have a 3.1 GPA at this grading scale.

MAJOR burn.

Haha, incredible isn’t it? I sense some grade inflation also. Not the most impressive school especially for being private.

Your school is not average in that it sends 100% of grads to college.

However, it IS average in that the highest SAT score is a 2270 and the highest ACT is a 34. I’d expect those scores to be higher at a high school from which everyone attends some sort of college.

No, most high schools don’t have 100% of students going on to 4-year universities.

For my HS 98% go to 4 year universities, 1% to CCs and 1% to the army/navy.

^Yea, mine is like yours…but MOST arent.

eh, its not the best school in the country, not the worst either. Pretty average, I think. I would say mine was much better, school-matriculation wise
But everyone’s opinion is going to be different depending on the type of school that they come from…

My school is better sry. we get 20 - 30 to top ten clleges, 6 perfect SATs this yr and wr a public NJ that isnt even ranked that high so id say urs is very avg.

Highest SAT: 2400.
Highest ACT: 36.
What up.

^That proves that one student could be great, not that your school is…

Out of the junior and senior classes (about 230 students), 38 kids got AP Scholar Awards. The highest award was AP Scholar with Distinction.

Out of the around 120 student body of the junior class, last year, 8 kids got a perfect SAT or ACT score in a section.

I want to do Battle of the HS, but no.

In a section, as in like 800 math? That’s not impressive at all. Tbh, 2270 as the highest SAT sucks, no offense.

Yeah. I have a question. Obviously, I go to this type of school. I’m a 94 average kid. At my school, 94 average converts to like a 1700 SAT to be the worst, 1900 SAT to be the best. Unlike a lot of 94 averaged kids, I don’t take a lot of honors classes to help me. Can I still get a high SAT score?

haha. Of course.

Your grade has a weak correlation to your SAT score. You might be able to tell what your raw SAT score is by taking a PSAT (which you’ll probably take next year).

I already took the PSAT actually.

Composite: 152
Writing: 60
Math: 40
English 52

I guess it’s okay, especially without taking Algebra II and Geometry.

That’s good for a freshman without the math requirements.

You don’t have to worry about it now. But when the time comes, just memorize some key vocab and do practice tests.

After doing this post, I feel like going this school is a rip-off. Not because of anything, but because I was told all of tenure at this school that I would go to a “great” college. For my entire time here, I have like a 93.5 (3.53/4.0)overall GPA at this school. That’s awful. Like I said an average like that correlates to a 1700-1900 SAT. That’s awful too. Not that awful, but you know what I mean. I’m not going to a “great” school with these stats to begin with.

I mean it’s awesome that I get to go to a school like this on scholarship, when I suppose to go to a public school where they have police officers everywhere. But I feel bad for more than 50% of the students at the school, because their parents pay the whole entire $8,000. The problem is that these parents and students are PROUD of the school’s successes.

sigh…I GIVE UP

But I’m glad, I found CC, so I wouldn’t be illusioned.
