Sorry if this isn't in the right section, but I'm just asking if this schedule is rigorous enough for ivy-tier universities.

Junior:
IB HL English
IB SL Biology
IB SL 20th Century World History
IB SL Math
Media (taking SL Film within this class, but they'll only see "Media")
Spanish 4
Advanced Debate

Senior (for next year)
IB HL English
IB HL Biology
IB HL History of the Americas
IB SL Math
Media (taking SL Film within this class, but they'll only see "Media")
IB SL Spanish
Advanced Debate

Do you think I should replace Advanced Debate with something like SL Psychology or SL ESS and do it as a certificate? Or am I "solid" with these classes as long as I do well come IB exams?

Psychology isn’t that impressive to see on applications so I wouldn’t stress it. You should be fine as is. Debate might even teach you some useful skills to carry with you.

Alright, thanks for the insight. Although, even if I drop my debate block, I can still go to the tournaments… But I honestly don’t want to take on another class. I was just kind of concerned that having two electives (even though technically one is IB Film) might detract from my chances some.

But you guys are sure that this schedule is “good” by ivy league standards lol? I mean, I realize that getting into top schools is about a whole lot more than just the rigor of your coursework, but seeing a lot of people’s schedules fraught with AP classes compels me to switch Advanced Debate to something like IB SL Psychology…

I did chemistry my sophomore year, and tested out of Physics I. SL Math covers a lot of pre-calculus junior year, and is basically Calculus AB senior year.
