Is my plan okay?

Hi CC users. I am fairly new to this so i just had a question regarding my plans involving standardized testing. I will be an junior this coming fall and I am planning on taking the ACT test and a few SAT subject tests. Come senior year, I will be applying to schools such as UC Berkeley, UC San Diego, and other UC schools. My only private school is the University of Southern California. Is it okay to submit only my ACT score and not a SAT score? Also, which schools require the subject tests? how many?

Thanks everyone!

Go to the college websites and read their standardized testing policies.

I would take the SAT because maybe you will find it easier or wind up with a better score then your ACT. Its worth a shot.

I was considering that, however I felt that the ACT is more suited for me and I want to focus more on one test rather than two. My brother studied for both and got average scores on each test for a great student. My reasoning is that I am submitting only one test. So why not focus on one test. Plan B is to switch focus if I am unsuccessful of achieving my target score after two tries lol.

Focus on one but still take both. They are similar I’m many ways and it can’t hurt to try out the other one without really studying because if you do badly you Don’t have to submit the score
