I recently heard from a friend that I might qualify for the National Hispanic Recogniotion award. My selection index in the PSAT was an 1870 (69 M, 61 CR, 57 W).

I bombed the writing for whatever reason after getting a 740 on a practice test!!!!!!!!!!! The other parts seems about right, Math a little low, CR a little high.

Anyways, will my 1870 be enough to qualify me for the NHRP? Please let me know. thanks.

As long as you meet their qualifications as being Hispanic, I think that there's a good chance that you'll qualify. I think that I have seen students posting who got it with index scores as low as a 180. It's the index score, not the individual scores that matter, from what I have seen.

Best of luck!

Thank you. Well I was born I Colombia, and I've only lived here for 3 years so I guess technically I am hispanic. The only thing that might mess me up is that I'm not a citizen/permanent resident yet, I don't know if that is included in ther requirements.
