Is my SAT score good enough?

Hi guys,

So I'm a generally A/A* international student. SAT score is 2240 on my first attempt, CR 700 Writing 740 and Math 800.

Since I'm thinking of applying to the top universities plus there are already 7 people in my school who currently have higher SAT scores than me (and will generally apply to the same places) should I take my SAT 1 agai (to specifically boost my chances) or just focus on SAT 2 now?

Thank you for the help

You have a pretty decent score. Personally, I would keep going until i’ve reached my limit, but that’s just me. If you have time to study then I would retake it. If you don’t and want to get rid of the SAT II’s, then I think that’s fine too.

I agree with Anni223

Is English your first language? If it isn’t, your CR score is really impressive. Also, are you looking to major in the liberal arts or STEM-based stuff? If it’s STEM-based, then you don’t need to retake it. Your math scores are great.

Honestly, your score is very good. Around that point in test scores, colleges start evaluating you more holistically.

@topaz1116‌ English isn’t my first language, and yes, I’m looking for a STEM based major hopefully.

Cheers and thanks for the responses guys!
