Hi! When I took the SAT with my school in April, I got a 1280 (690 CR 590 M 7/4/7 Essay) and I took it again in June and got a 1250 (660 CR 590 M 7/7/7 Essay). From what I understand a 1280 is the equivalent of a 27 or 28 on the ACT while a 1250 is a 26. My top school is UMich with my current second being Michigan State. I am considering studying and retaking the ACT which I got a 26 on last February, but I’m just unfamiliar with the new SAT and understanding of my score is good enough for UMich or if it even is the equivalent of a 27/28 because so many concordance tables say differing things. Thank you!
1280 is the equivalent of 27 ACT. The SAT Math norms for michigan are 660-770, thats your biggest problem.
If the rest of your application looks good they might overlook that but you are on the bubble for a school like Mich.
Your SAT score is a bit below the mid 50 of incoming freshmen this year (1440-1570). You will need to work very hard in order to get into the admission range.
