I am going to get **** from my GC for not taking a math next year, but it's either math or science and I enjoy science much, much more than math.

AP Physics B
AP European History
AP English Lit
AP Government/Macro
Newspaper
Newspaper

I have to take Newspaper twice next year in order to be editor in chief.

I have already taken Gifted Alg I, Geo, Alg II, and am now in pre-calc.
Brown recommends 4 maths, which I have. I'm stessing out over math and I don't see why I should take it but I can't help but feel that I need to take some kind of math become everyone I know is going into Calc. Let me know if you think this will hurt my chances because I have the recommended math credits and I've struggled with gifted math forever. I will have like 10 APs by graduation so it's not like I'm slacking.

THANKS.
elweezer is online now

You should have taken more classes. I don't think the schedule is challenging at all, and neither will the Ivies.

You've struggled with gifted math...why are you in it??? Take regular math maybe. Drop the euro or govt. Take regular calc instead of gifted. Whats your major by the way?

ultimatefrisbee- i would love to take more classes if possible. (?)

What would you consider a challenging schedule? I'm going to have 10 AP classes at graduation and besides that all gifted. I've taken absolutely the most challenging schedule out of almost anyone at my school. My exception is the sacrifice I'm making out of commitment to my school newspaper.

logisiticswizard- My major is English and creative writing.

I take gifted math because I'm in gifted. That's not really my choice at my school.

English and creative writing--I think that can afford to drop govt or euro. maybe instead of calc, you can take stats to show you did further the math??

On second thought, nm, it looks fine. I didn't get to the part where you will have 10 AP's upon grad. Yeah, it's ok. Chillax.

frisbee are you serious? it looks fine to me

Edit: nevermiiiiind frisbee, you beat me to it

Just a thought, but maybe you can post this in some of the Ivy college-specific forums where the admissions reps are actively posting and reading... and post it to the attention of those reps.
