Is my schedule impossible?

I am taking 18 credits this semester including:

5 - organic chem + lab
4 - calc 3
4 - CE 212
5 - physics 2 + lab

I also want to work around 20 hours a week and join a club.
I can't really drop anything and alot of my hours at work will be on the weekends. Should I work less hours? Or could I be fine? I could also not join the club.

Definitely challenging, but with only four classes they can’t overload you too much - as long as you are prepared to work hard, you should be okay.

Not horrible, but not easy. You will see some overlap in between Calc3 and Phys2.

A little tough, but nothing unusual for an engineering major

Ok thanks for the feedback!

What is CE212? In most schools that would only total 14 credit hours anyway.

You can definitely do this schedule, you just have to use your free time efficiently so you aren’t doing homework after hours of work.

CE 212 is the fundamentals of chemical engineering. And now I’m feeling a lot less stressed out about next semester.

I don’t know, looks like a difficult schedule to me.

I know Orgo is a killer class at most universities. Many people have trouble with Physics 2.

I think the only saving grace for you is that you only have 4 classes…but not much of a saving grace, imo.

The key to a schedule like that is to stay on top of everything and don’t fall behind. You might run into some difficulty if you are hit with multiple tests/midterms within the same week.

Seems a bit tough, tougher than my schedule. Then again mine isn’t very challenging, I’m sure it won’t be impossible.

It all depends on how difficult CE 212 is. The chemical engineering fundamentals class at my school is a famously difficult weeder. If it’s like that at your school then you should watch out…you might not have time to work 20 hrs a week.

That’s tough. I suggest you lower the load a little. May be take the Calc 3 next quarter?

I would imagine Calc3 and Phys2 are coreqs.

Actually that’s not the case.

What’s not the case? Do you know what school he goes to?

Looks like SUNY Buffalo, judging by post history.

I am not too sure what you mean by coreqs, but I could take one without the other. I think phy 2 requires you to have taken calc 3. And yes I do go to suny buffalo
