Is my schedule okay without math?

My schedule right now is:
AP English
AP Gov/Econ
AP Biology
AP Enviro
Band
AP Calc
but I may drop Calc. What do you guys think? I would be taking community college classes and volunteering at the hospital instead in addition to already working 3-4 days a week. I am planning on taking a gap year and then attending community college anyway afterwards so it likely doesn’t matter much either way anyway. What do y’all think?

Wow, that’s a lot of AP classes. Your schedule seems to be full as well. How many AP classes did you took last year? Were you able to handle it? If the amount of AP classes you took last year was similar to this year and you were able to handle it, then you will done the same for this year. Good Luck  You’re so smart lol

Since you have such a competitive schedule, I assume you’re a competitive applicant. Therefore, you shouldn’t plan on community college as it may cost you tens of thousands of dollars in lost scholarships: if you attend CC after HS graduation, you are no longer eligible for the big merit scholarships (like “full tuition”)! If you’re lower income, aim for the “meet need” colleges. Even if you’re in California, where the CCs are good, if you are lower income and qualify for a UC, they’d provide you with excellent scholarships.
Have you reached Level 4 of a Foreign Language?
What dual enrollment classes would you take instead of calculus?

I will not qualify for financial aid regardless, i am mostly looking at UCs and will not quality for need based aid. Therefore cc will almost definitley come out cheap
And I am in California

Would dropping ap bio instead of calculus be better?

What field are you interested in down the road? I have no evidence, but it is probably always better to take more math than less. Biology doesn’t seem as widely applicable for college courses unless you plan to pursue a science. Just my $.02!

Do you have one class of bio, chem, physics plus one of them at the ap level? This would be for ucb, ucla, ucsd. Otherwise one of each plus apes would be good. Both would be better than dropping calculus… unless calculus is too hard and you won’t get a b or more.
