Is my schedule rigorous enough for an IB Junior?

Hello, I am an incoming IB Junior with mostly straight As (I have only gotten 1 “B” semester grade in my entire school career) and I don’t know if my schedule is rigorous enough for Junior year? I have an easy art class, as well as IB Film which might be looked upon as “for slackers” or such.

My Classes:
IB Theory of Knowledge
IB Film Studies
Digital Art
IB Mandarin Chinese
AP Calculus
IB Biology 1
AP English Composition (Lang)
AP U.S. History

Thank you. Please reply quickly if you can because I would like to know your opinions before school begins!

Yes, this looks very rigorious…are the IB courses HL or SL? You shoudl take Film if you like Film.

Your schedule looks very rigorous. I am taking TOK, Bio HL, History HL, Honors Pre-Calculus (

Oops, it looks like my comment cut off. It was rambly anyway. I just said your schedule looks more rigorous than my own rising junior schedule as a point of comparison, as you are taking AP Calc, although it depends on your HL/SL composition. I believe that IB HL history is more rigorous than APUSH and my own school, ditto with IB English and AP Lang, but i don’t know your school context. In general, your schedule looks very rigorous and I wish you all the luck with IB!

Is it bad to have Digital Art within my junior year class schedule? I wanted a relaxing class, but I know that colleges want to see that you can handle a hard workload. Many of my friends have all AP/IB classes, while I am one short.

Let them have all AP classes. If you like Digital Art and you have AP core courses (like you do), then enjoy digital art! HS should also be about exploring different things, that is why they have electives.
Also, you do have a hard workload.

Maybe I should save Digital Art for senior year and take AP Enviro this year? I am still torn :frowning:

Your schedule is rigorous enough, if you want to take digital art then take it.
